LIFE UpcyclingGrass partners meet for third project meeting

On 20–21 May 2025, the third partner meeting of the LIFE UpcyclingGrass project took place in the Gulbene region. Over two days, participants reviewed the progress achieved so far and discussed the next steps toward the sustainable use of biomass from biologically valuable grasslands.

During the meeting, the project’s working groups were reviewed and discussed — including market research, collaboration opportunities with raw material suppliers and product testers, and an assessment of the technical readiness for launching the processing of grassland biomass. Special attention was also given to project monitoring, as well as the communication strategy and visual identity.

On the second day, the partners visited the “Sita Nature Park” farm, where, under the guidance of its manager Jurijs Prokofjevs, they were introduced to the mobile granulator being prepared for the start of grassland biomass processing.

The meeting took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere, strengthening the partnership and shared understanding of the project’s goals and challenges.
